Also worth a visit is the Swanage Museum and Heritage Centre, which tells of the natural and social history of Swanage, as well as the World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast which has overlooked Swanage for 130 million years.

And if you are looking for somewhere for the children to let of some steam there is Putlake Adventure Park, which is home to farm animals, barn owls, ferrets, guinea pigs, ponies and a shire horse called Tyson.
