Lyme Regis Beach
Lyme Regis is probably best known for it's Cobb which appeared in the film version of John Fowles novel 'The French Lieutenant's Woman which starred Meryl Streep.
But as well as the Hollywood link, the town is full of history with frequest reminders such as the cannons from past battles and the fossils which can be found in the museum and on the beaches.

But whatever your hobby you will love the clear waters of Lyme Regis whether it is swimming, sailing, surfing or water skiing or perhaps try you hand at a bit of angling with deep sea trips available where you may find bass, whiting, cod, shark or skate or a bit of pier fishing and catch a few mackeral for tea!
