Brownsea Island
Brownsea Island is the ideal place to escape the noise and stress of modern life and discover nature in this unspoilt setting, with plenty of wildlife to see including red squirrels, peacocks and deer.

Brownsea Island is seeped in history and is the place that the very first Scout camp took place in 1907 led by Sir Baden-Powell, however since 1927 it has been a dedicated nature conservation area so is now a haven for wildlife and there is plenty for younger visitors to do including the Trails and Tracker Packs.
Brownsea Island is only accessible by boat. Ferry trips depart from Poole Quay, Sandbanks Jetty, Bournemouth Pier and Swanage Pier.
